Single-row full complement cylindrical roller bearings by SLB are designed for supporting considerable radial forces at a relatively low speed. The bearings are also capable of accomodating axial force in both directions. The outer ring of the bearing, shown in Fig. 1, has one shoulder fixed, capable of fully accomodating the exerted axial load. The flexible, obliquely cut retaining ring attached to the groove in the outer ring is hardened and also able to transfer certain axial forces. The bearing shown in Fig. 2 has a hardened retaining ring and is capable of accomodating the full axial load in both directions.
